Dear Colleague, Dear Friend,
I’m writing to share with you my decision to run as a candidate for AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) Board of directors to represent Europe Africa and Middle East in the next two years.
It would be a great honour.
Election will be held online next October.

AAGL (https://www.aagl.org) is the world’s leading organization in MIGS, founded on the principles of collaboration, education, and exciting progress.
Each of our countries has individual characteristics, yet all communities have a deep-seated desire to collaborate in order to reach the goals of surgeons and researchers.
My experience of operating and teaching in over 50 countries during the past 20 years has confirmed my perception regarding the crucial need for deep knowledge of  minimally invasive gynecological surgery in order to make even the hardest surgery easier and more reproducible in both economically advanced and low-resource settings.
Sustainable excellence in surgical care, regardless of the country of origin, is a need and desire of every surgeon, and it has been and remains at the core of my personal and organizational mission for my entire career.
The global platform established by the AAGL promotes the progress and diversity necessary for productive global educational exchange.
I would like to promote both reconnections and new connections among established and young, culturally diverse communities via the global AAGL platform for the purpose of advancing in 2 clear and essential aims: to reach the highest standards in surgery and to advance education.
I look forward to expanding my efforts to achieve these goals of the AAGL and to enhance its vibrant and diverse membership.
Thanks again for your support!
